Prince Constantijn becomes European communications adviser

On 1 August 2003, His Royal Highness Prince Constantijn will start work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he will advise the Minister for European Affairs on the drafting and implementation of a communications strategy on European cooperation.

The main aim is to increase the commitment of the Dutch public to European cooperation for when the Netherlands takes over the Presidency of the EU in July 2004.

Prince Constantijn worked in the private office of former European Commissioner Hans van den Broek from 1995 to 1999. His appointment at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is on a part-time basis for a period of two years.

The Prince has already resigned from Booz, Allen and Hamilton in London, where he worked as a strategic policy consultant from 2001.
