State Secretary Jan Kees de Jager has been appointed Minister of Finance and State Secretary Tineke Huizinga-Heringa has become Minister of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment.
Ministers Ernst Hirsch Ballin, André Rouvoet and Eimert van Middelkoop take over responsibility for Interior & Kingdom Relations, Education, Culture & Science and Housing, Communities & Integration respectively in addition to their current portfolio.
The Queen's Office has issued the following statement.
In connection with Her Majesty the Queen's acceptance today of the resignation of the Labour (PvdA) ministers and state secretaries, Jan Kees de Jager has been appointed Minister of Finance and Tineke Huizinga-Heringa Minister of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment. Their appointment takes effect from their swearing in.
Minister of Justice Ernst Hirsch Ballin will take over management of the
Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, while the Ministry of
Education, Culture and Science will be the responsibility of the Minister for
Youth and Families, André Rouvoet. Matters relating to Housing, Communities
& Integration will be assigned to the Minister of Defence, Eimert van
Middelkoop.
