Repatriation of aliens
Migrants who do not have or no longer have the right of residence in the Netherlands must leave the country, preferably voluntarily.
The authorities encourage them to return to their country of origin by providing support, for example, in the form of assistance in setting up a business. Those who do not leave voluntarily may be forcibly returned. Immigrants who have a residence permit and nonetheless wish to return to their home country are eligible for government assistance.
