Military personnel from the Netherlands have been deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina since the early 1990s.
Structure of the mission in Bosnia
With the phased return to the Netherlands of the last Dutch military personnel, during late October and early November 2011, the large-scale Dutch deployment to the European Union Force (EUFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina came to an end. Five Dutch military personnel are still active in the area and are conducting a Communications and Information Systems module for the Bosnian army. Within the context of the 
European Union Police Mission (EUPM) , the Netherlands has sent a number of military and civilian personnel in order to help build a solid police apparatus, with particular focus on the fight against organised crime.
