Nationality
If you have Dutch nationality, you can live in the Netherlands without any restrictions, and you have the same rights and obligations as any other Dutch national.
If you possess another nationality and have been living in the Netherlands for some time, you can apply to become a Dutch national. This can be done through the option procedure (which involves making a declaration to the local authorities that you wish to become a Dutch national) or through naturalisation. Different rules apply to children.
