Proposal for new law to adapt benefits abroad
Today Minister Kamp of Social affairs and Employment sent a proposal to the Parliament that means to adapt benefits outside the European Union to the standard of living in the country of residence.
As of july 1st 2012 these new rules must apply to the Child Benefit (AKW), the Surviving Relatives ACT (ANW), a part of the Return to Work Scheme for the Partially Disabled (WGA) and the Child Budget.
The proposal will generate a decrease in spending of 9 to 16 million Euro's a year. In the Coalition Agreement it is agreed to stop exporting the Child Benefit and Child Budget in full within a few years.
