Taxation
Everyone who lives or works in the Netherlands or receives income from the country is liable to tax in the Netherlands. Taxes are the main source of government revenue. They are collected by the Tax and Customs Administration. The government can change the tax rates every year.
To avoid double taxation, the Dutch government has signed tax treaties with a large number of countries.
