Customs intercept huge shipment of fake goods at Schiphol Airport
At Schiphol Airport Customs found more than 32,000 pieces of fake goods yesterday. These are fake stickers, fake telephone cases and fake telephone windows. The items were found in the luggage of a passenger travelling from China via Schiphol Airport to São Paulo.
When the passenger’s hand luggage was checked, a Customs official found approximately 15,000 fake stickers for adapters of mobile phones and memory cards. In the hold luggage another 17.000 similar fake items were found.
The goods have been seized and an official report was drawn up against the passenger.
It is a punishable act to import, export or transit fake goods in or from the Netherlands or transit these goods via the Netherlands to another country in and outside the European Union.
