Dismissal

Nobody can be dismissed without proper cause. If an employer wishes to terminate an employee’s employment contract against the wishes of that employee, he must adhere to a strict procedure. The employer can apply for a dismissal permit from UWV WERKbedrijf (former CWI) or ask the subdistrict court to dissolve the employment contract. The way in which the dismissal procedure is completed depends to a large extent on the reason for dismissal.
