President Widodo of Indonesia to visit the Netherlands
President Joko Widodo of the Republic of Indonesia will visit the Netherlands on 21 and 22 April 2016. The programme for the visit includes an audience with His Majesty the King, a meeting with Prime Minister Mark Rutte, and a visit to Maasvlakte 2 in Rotterdam with the Minister of Infrastructure and the Environment, Melanie Schultz van Haegen.
On Friday 22 April, Mr Rutte will receive President Widodo at the Catshuis for a working breakfast. The Dutch government will also be represented by foreign minister Bert Koenders, foreign trade and development minister Lilianne Ploumen and Ms Schultz van Haegen. The Indonesian delegation will include foreign minister Retno Marsudi and trade minister Thomas Lembong. Topics on the agenda include bilateral relations, counterterrorism, strengthening the rule of law, and economic cooperation between the two countries. An agreement will be signed at the Catshuis on enhancing maritime cooperation between the Netherlands and Indonesia.
