I am committed to ensuring that the tax system is simplified and that legislation is predictable and implemented as intended. I will continue with the tasks of reforming our tax system, organising redress for taxpayers in relation to the ‘box 3’ tax rules on income from savings and investments and modernising the Tax Administration’s IT systems. By pursuing these efforts we aim to improve public and business confidence in government.
