Prime Minister Rutte meets with heads of state and government
On Sunday 23 March, Monday 24 March and Tuesday 25 March, in the margins of the Nuclear Security Summit, Prime Minister Mark Rutte will hold bilateral talks with heads of state and government. The talks will focus on political, economic and cultural ties.
On Sunday 23 March the prime minister will speak in the Catshuis with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Indonesian Vice-President Boediono, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (in that order).
On Monday morning 24 March, a meeting is scheduled at the Catshuis with President Park Geun-hye of South Korea, followed by a meeting with US President Barack Obama in Amsterdam. Later on Monday Mr Rutte will meet Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk of Ukraine, and in the evening King Abdullah II of Jordan.
On Tuesday morning 25 March at the World Forum in The Hague, the prime minister will speak with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and then International Atomic Energy Agency Director-General Yukiya Amano. In the evening at the Catshuis there will be meetings with Turkish President Abdullah Gül, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and New Zealand Prime Minister John Key (in that order).
