Rutte, Timmermans and Hennis-Plasschaert to attend NATO Summit in Wales

Prime Minister Mark Rutte is to participate in the upcoming NATO Summit, together with foreign minister Frans Timmermans and defence minister Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert. The meeting will take place in Wales on 4 and 5 September.

Subjects on the agenda include strengthening transatlantic relations, the future of NATO and the allied response to current threats and fresh developments in areas such as Ukraine and the Middle East.

In addition, the Wales Summit will consider the present situation in Afghanistan and a new initiative will be launched, aimed at enhancing cooperation with NATO’s partners.
