Schultz and Mansveld make new start at I&M

On Monday 5 November, Ms Melanie Schultz van Haegen was once again sworn in as Minister of Infrastructure & the Environment.  She will start a new cabinet term at the ministry which is by now familiar to her. Wilma Mansveld  has taken office as the new State Secretary, following in the footsteps of Joop Atsma (the former State Secretary of Infrastructure & the Environment).

With Minister Schultz in attendance, Joop Atsma handed over his duties to the new State Secretary. The cabinet members have agreed the following division of the portfolio:

Minister Schultz van Haegen: Spatial Planning and Water & Maritime Affairs

State Secretary Mansveld: The Environment, Public Transport & Railways, Aviation and the KNMI (Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute).
