Information for Dutch nationals in Nepal and their relatives

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working with all possible speed to help those wishing to leave Nepal. Attempts are being made to locate helicopter capacity in the region to help Dutch nationals trapped in the mountains. The ministry is now asking Dutch nationals wishing to leave Nepal to come to Kathmandu airport, so that they can leave as soon as seats on outbound flights become available.

SOS International is attempting to contact people by phone, Twitter and Facebook. Staff from the honorary consulate are at Kathmandu airport to receive Dutch nationals. The Dutch ambassador to Delhi will travel to Kathmandu very shortly.

Relatives of Dutch nationals in Nepal can call the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on +31 (0)70 348 6486 for information on the situation in the affected region.
