Chair appointed for the Council for the Administration of Criminal Justice and Protection of Juveniles
F. (Frederieke) Leeflang, LLM has been selected to become the new chair of the Council for the Administration of Criminal Justice and Protection of Juveniles (RSJ). This 15 September she will be appointed by Royal Decree. She will be succeeding Leo de Wit, whose term of appointment will end then.
Frederieke has worked in various positions for the law firm Dentons Boekel since 1994, and became partner in 2002. Between May 2011 and November 2015 she chaired the Board of Directors of Dentons Boekel. In addition, she holds many administrative and supervisory positions. She currently chairs the Audit Advisory Committee of the Netherlands Court of Audit (AR), as well as the Advisory Council of the Care Needs Assessment Centre (CIZ). She is a member of the Supervisory Board of ABN AMRO and member of the Supervisory Board of the Dutch Cancer Society (KWF).
Frederieke Leeflang studied law at the University of Groningen and is specialised in competition law.
With its recommendations and rulings, the Council for the Administration of Criminal Justice and Protection of Juveniles attempts to ensure the humane and fair application of sanctions and youth protection orders.
