Final External Evaluation of Promoting Rights-Based Solutions for Vulnerable Migrants through MRRM Programmes

The project contributed to the protection of migrants through consultations on registration and referral to services provided by IOM or other humanitarian actors. The awareness of migrants about, among other things, the risks of irregular migration and available services increased through the provision of information. The projects encountered challenges in tangibly improving social cohesion.

IOM conducted two Migrant Resource and Response Mechanism programs in Tripoli from 2019 to 2021, with activities on protection, voluntary humanitarian return, awareness of the risks of irregular migration, available services and alternatives and improving social cohesion among migrants and host communities. These projects were financed by the Netherlands and Switzerland. SREO Consulting carried out a final evaluation to assess the extent to which the two projects achieved their planned objectives and the extent to which the activities and modalities met the needs of the beneficiaries. The findings will be used by IOM and donors to learn from and improve the quality of similar future activities.
