Programme and registration
Over the course of three days, the WPFC 2020 programme will feature a variety of interesting plenary sessions and break-out sessions. At least 1,500 participants from all over the world are expected to join the conference on 22-24 April, including a number of high-profile journalists. The full WPFC 2020 programme will be announced at the beginning of March.
WPFC 2020 will kick off with a reception on Tuesday 21 April in The Hague City Hall. On 22 and 23 April there are alternating plenary and break-out sessions in the World Forum. On 24 April the latter venue will be transformed into a festival area.
Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize
During the conference the 2020 UNESCO/Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize will be awarded to a journalist that has made an outstanding contribution to the defence of press freedom, often at risk to their own lives. This prize has been awarded annually since 1997.
