Appointments to Joint Court of Justice
Ms A.J.M. van Gink, LLM and Mr S.M. van Lieshout, LLM have been appointed new members of the Joint Court of Justice of Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten as well as Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba. Also on behalf of his counterparts in Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten, Minister for Legal Protection Sander Dekker has proposed the nomination of these new members, whose appointment has been approved by the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
As from 1 December 2018, Ms Van Gink (1965) will serve as criminal appeal court judge at the Joint Court of Justice, operationally based on Curaçao. At present, she works as presiding judge of the criminal justice sector of the Court of Appeal of 's-Hertogenbosch.
Mr Van Lieshout (1960) is currently senior judge at the Central Netherlands District Court. As from 1 December 2018, he will be employed at the criminal court of first instance of the Joint Court of Justice, operationally based on Curaçao.
