As a British national, can I continue to be seconded or posted to the Netherlands for my UK-based employer after Brexit?

Until 31 December 2020 a transition period is in place. During this period, as a result of the withdrawal agreement nothing will change for you. This means you can continue to be seconded or posted to the Netherlands during the transition period lasting until 31 December 2020.

After the transition period

During the transition period, the EU and the UK will hold negotiations on their future relationship. Whether you can continue your posting or secondment after the transition period depends on the outcome of these negotiations. The same holds for starting a new posting or secondment after the transition period. More information will become available over the course of 2020. 

If no new agreements are made

If the UK and the EU don't succeed in making new arrangements before the transition period ends, you can only start or continue your posting or secondment after the transition period when this is possible according to the Dutch national rules for posting of non-EU citizens.
