Yes, from 1 January 2021 you may still drive in the United Kingdom on your Dutch driving licence, regardless of whether you are in the UK on holiday or you live there. If you live in the UK, you can also exchange your Dutch driving licence for a British licence.

The rules for Dutch licence holders who live in the UK may be subject to change in the future. How these rules might change is not yet clear. Discussions between the Netherlands and the UK on the matter are still ongoing.

Exchanging your Dutch driving licence for a British licence

If you live in the UK, you can exchange your Dutch driving licence for a British licence. From 1 January 2021, you may also still drive in the Netherlands on a British driving licence. You do not need an international driving licence.
