Prime Minister Rutte visits Caribbean part of the Kingdom
Prime Minister Mark Rutte is visiting Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Saba and Sint Eustatius between 13 and 19 July. He will be accompanied throughout by a delegation from the Dutch business sector.
This is Mr Rutte’s first visit as Prime Minister to the Caribbean part of the Kingdom, so the main purpose of his journey is to become better acquainted with the islands. Another area of interest includes economic relations between the Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom. The Caribbean countries can serve as a springboard for doing business with growing economies in the region, such as Brazil, Mexico, Panama and Colombia.
