Coronavirus entry pass for sport

If you are going to exercise at the gym or play sports, you do not need a coronavirus entry pass. However, a coronavirus entry pass is sometimes required for spectators at professional sports matches and elite-level competitions.

Rules for spectators

Spectators are permitted again at professional matches and competitions.

Coronavirus entry pass required

  • A coronavirus entry pass is required for spectators aged 13 and over at professional sports matches and elite-level competitions.
  • Everyone aged 14 and over must also show ID (identity card, passport or driving licence).

No coronavirus entry pass required

You do not need a coronavirus entry pass if you are:

  • attending an amateur sports match as a spectator;
  • taking part in sports, for example exercising at a gym or swimming pool or playing in a hockey match.

Please note: for sporting events that are partly outdoors and partly indoors, organisers must ensure that all spectators have a coronavirus entry pass and that this has been checked. Organisers should contact the municipality to arrange this.
