Steps for getting a COVID Certificate for travel or events using CoronaCheck

If you would like to travel within the European Union, or if you would like to attend an event or activity in the Netherlands, you will usually have to show a negative test result, proof of vaccination or proof of recovery. Checklist for using CoronaCheck

Take the following 4 steps before you travel. Or take step 2 until 4 for attending events and activities.

Step 1: Check the travel advice (applies only if you want to travel)

Check the travel advice for your destination (in Dutch only). This will tell you which of the 3 proofs will allow you to enter the country. European countries decide for themselves which of these proofs they accept from people entering the country, and what conditions apply. This includes the type of test that a country accepts and how recent the result must be. The countries also decide for themselves what additional measures they impose, such as quarantines for travellers.

Step 2: Download the CoronaCheck app or go to CoronaCheck.nl.

Step 3: Upload your proof

Upload 1 of these 3 forms of proof:

Step 4: Have your QR code scanned
