93 patients deceased, 884 new patients, a total of 11.750 confirmed cases
Since yesterday, 884 people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the Netherlands to 11.750. Among them are 3990 people who are or were admitted to hospital.
As has been reported over the past few days, the number of reported hospital admissions and the number of deceased COVID-19 patients reported in the Netherlands appear to be increasing less rapidly than would be expected without measures in place. It will become apparent this week whether the curve is in fact flattening out.
Noord-Brabant continues to show a declining trend in the number of hospital admissions. Hospital admissions are relatively high in Zuid-Holland, Noord-Holland, Gelderland and Limburg. The number of hospital admissions remains stable and low in the provinces of Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe, Flevoland and Zeeland.
The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) National Institute for Public Health and the Environment ) is receiving information on the outbreak of the novel coronavirus from multiple sources. The daily data reports from the National Intensive Care Evaluation (NICE) Foundation are now also included in the reports on Coronavirus data (only in Dutch). These figures are updated several times a day by the NICE Foundation. The figures in this report have a slight delay compared to the real-time situation.
