Press Invitation to attend the Open Day held by the Correctional Institutions Agency on 6 November
On Saturday 6 November 2010, State Secretary for Security and Justice Teeven will officially open the seventh National Open Day of the Correctional Institutions Agency (DJI) in the penal institution Ter Peel in Evertsoord.
The Open Day is intended to give visitors an impression of life and work behind the walls of a remand centre, prison, TBS institution/TBS clinic/custodial clinic or correctional institution for juvenile offenders. This year, 48 correctional institutions are participating in the Open Day. The central theme of the Open Day is the reduction of the number of repeat offences by helping offenders to break out of criminal behaviour patterns. Nationwide, about 10,000 visitors will be able to visit an institution during the Open Day.
We have the pleasure to invite you to attend this occasion. The programme is as follows:
9:30 a.m.: Reception of the media
