Prime Minister Rutte and environment minister Mansveld to visit China

Prime Minister Mark Rutte is to pay a visit to China from 24 to 29 March 2015. He will be accompanied by the Minister for the Environment, Wilma Mansveld, and a delegation from the Dutch business community. Among other activities, Mr Rutte will participate in the Boao Forum for Asia, an annual conference for politicians and representatives of the business community, academia and the media. The prime minister’s visit is designed to further strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between the Netherlands and China.

The Netherlands is China's second-largest trading partner in the EU. Trade between the two countries amounted to €39.5 billion in 2013 and is still growing. There are major opportunities for the Dutch business community in China, where some 1,000 companies from the Netherlands are already active.
