Do you want to keep your assets and debts separate in your marriage or registered partnership? You can ask a notary to draw up a prenuptial agreement or partnership agreement. You can register the agreement in the huwelijksgoederenregister (marital property register) (in Dutch).

Registering a prenuptial agreement or partnership agreement in the marital property register

Have you concluded a prenuptial agreement or partnership agreement? The notary can register it in the huwelijksgoederenregister held by the district court. This is a public register that allows creditors to see how much money is available to pay outstanding debts.
