294 victims onboard flight MH17 identified

Another two of the victims of the MH17 plane crash were identified this week. One of them has Dutch nationality and one another nationality. Including the victims already identified, a total of 294 victims onboard flight MH17 have now been identified.

The nationality of the non-Dutch victims is being kept confidential at the request of the embassies of the countries involved. The victims' next of kin have been informed.

The National Forensic Investigations Team (Landelijk Team Forensische Opsporing, LTFO) has been working on identifying the 298 victims of the MH2014 plane crash since July 2014. It is possible that information about the 4 missing persons (all with Dutch nationality) will be obtained from the remains currently held in Hilversum. It is not yet possible to say if and when that information will become available. The media will be informed when new identification information becomes available.
