Difference between a Certificate of existence and a Certificate of life
- The Bewijs van in leven zijn (Certificate of existence) is an excerpt taken from the Basisregistratie Personen – BRP (Personal Records Database) and is intended for use in the Netherlands.
- The Attestatie de vita (Certificate of life) is an international document that can be used abroad. The Certificate of life is taken from the Registers van de burgerlijke stand (register of births, deaths and marriages).
