Course fee refund

You must pay course fees if you take certain secondary vocational (MBO) or adult general secondary (VAVO) programmes. You can sometimes receive a total or partial refund for course fees if you leave your programme.

Total or partial course fee refund

If you leave your programme, you can receive a total or partial course fee refund in certain cases:

  • You cancel your enrolment before the first day of classes.
  • You enrol in a full-day school for the same period for which you paid course fees.
  • You become seriously ill.
  • You are dealing with special family circumstances. For instance, illness or death of a family member.

You will receive 1/12 of the course fees back for every month that you do not take the course.

If you pass away, your surviving relatives will receive a total or partial course fee refund.
