Applying for a subsidy for sustainability and maintenance of rental housing
Are you renting out a residential property and wanting to make it more energy efficient? If so, you can apply for a subsidy. The subsidy falls under the Subsidieregeling Verduurzaming en Onderhoud Huurwoningen – SVOH (subsidy scheme for sustainability and maintenance of rental housing).

Possibilities under the SVOH
You can use the subsidy under the SVOH (in Dutch) to:
- ask an adviser for tips on how you can make your property more energy-efficient;
- make your property more energy-efficient. For example, to insulate the walls of your property;
- maintain your property. For example, to replace your window frames.
Eligibility for the SVOH
To qualify for a subsidy under the SVOH, you need to meet a number of conditions, such as:
- you own the property;
- you are renting out the property at the time when you apply for the subsidy.
