Tax and Customs Administration answers tax return questions by way of twitter

As of today, people who have questions about their tax returns can ask their questions to the Tax and Customs Administration via twitter. Last year, the Tax and Customs Administration started a test with the twitter account @BDaangifte. This year, the Tax and Customs Administration is offering help in this manner again. The account has more than 1900 followers and will be available up to and including 31 March.

One can ask a digital question to the Tax and Customs Administration by way of twitter. No confidential data will be provided via twitter; the Tax and Customs Administration answers general questions only. The twitter team is available every Monday up to and including every Thursday from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m. and on Fridays from 8 a.m. till 5 p.m. In March one can also twitter on Fridays till 8 p.m. as well and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m. Questions asked outside these hours will be answered as soon as the team is online again.

The Tax and Customs Administration expects that most questions will be asked in March. As from 1 March, the pre-completed tax returns will be available again. Much information on tax returns is to be found on the site of the Tax and Customs Administration as well under www.belastingdienst.nl/aangifte.
