Apply for a subsidy to buy or lease an electric car
Are you buying a new or used electric car? If so, you can apply for a subsidy. This is referred to as the Subsidie Elektrische Personenauto’s Particulieren – SEPP (subsidy for electric passenger cars for private individuals). You can also obtain a subsidy for leasing an electric car.

Conditions for the SEPP
Below are 2 examples of the conditions for the SEPP grant:

your car must be 100% electric;

you live in the Netherlands.
The Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland – RVO (Netherlands Enterprise Agency) – sets out all the conditions for the SEPP grant on their website (in Dutch).
Applying for the SEPP
You can apply to the RVO for the SEPP grant (in Dutch). A certain amount is available each year. It is granted on a first come, first served basis each year.
