Impact Assessment Fundamental Rights and Algorithms

The Fundamental Rights and Algorithm Impact Assessment (FRAIA) helps to map the risks to human rights in the use of algorithms and to take measures to address this. FRAIA is the English translation of Impact Assessment Mensenrechten en Algoritmes

Using FRAIA

FRAIA creates a dialogue between professionals who are working on the development or deployment of an algorithmic system. The government organisation that’s planning tot start a project with algorithms is responsible for implementation of FRAIA.

Result of FRAIA

The result of this tool is that all relevant points for attention when using algorithms are addressed in a timely and structured manner. This prevents your organization from using algorithms of which the consequences are not yet clear. FRAIA also reduces the risks of carelessness, ineffectiveness or infringements of citizens' rights.

Authors of FRAIA

The authors of FRAIA are Prof. Janneke Gerards (LLM), Dr. Mirko Tobias Schäfer, Arthur Vankan and Iris Muis.
