Dutch companies are very successful abroad. Even so, these are volatile times for global trade. That’s why, in my role as minister, I work to keep trade stable: to ensure continued international growth for our companies.
At the same time, it’s important for us to link Dutch development aid to opportunities for Dutch businesses. The government has also reduced development spending. Something we will be looking at in further detail in the period ahead.
