132 patients deceased, 189 new patients, a total of 24,413 confirmed cases

Hospital admissions for 189 patients were reported today (current and previous). 132 deaths were reported. Not all of the hospital admissions or deaths occurred within the last 24 hours. Some patients are reported later. For this reason, the figures are often supplemented with data from previous days.

Up until now 24.413 confirmed COVID-19 patients have been reported  to the RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment. The reports are from all of the 12 provinces, however with 411 (31%) most of the new reports are from the province of Zuid-Holland.

The last few days, care workers outside the hospital can also be tested if they have any symptoms. The first effect appears to be visible in the reports, because 550 (42%) of the new reports concern care workers.

The figures for the last few days are still in line with the impression that COVID-19 is spreading slower than if no measures had been taken. Since not all COVID-19 patients are tested, the actual numbers in the Netherlands are higher than the numbers stated in the report.
