Winners of MHPSS-themed international cartoon contest selected

The winning cartoons have been selected in an international contest dedicated to mental health and social support (MHPSS) in crisis situations.

MHPSS-themed contest

The Cartoon Movement organised the contest on request of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the occasion of the international conference on this topic, 7-8 October in Amsterdam.

This summer, members of Cartoon Movement’s online community uploaded over 100 MHPSS-themed cartoons. You can find the 4 best ones below. Feel free to share them in your network and on social media, using #mindthemindnow!

Cartoon Movement

The Cartoon Movement started its online community in 2010 to enable editorial cartoonists from all over the world to show their skills in making cartoons on various societal themes. For each chosen theme, the public can cast their votes for a specified period of time.

The Cartoon Movement was founded by video journalists Thomas Loudon and Arend Jan van den Beld, in cooperation with Dutch editorial cartoonist Tjeerd Royaards, who participates in Cartoonists Rights Network International as well as in Cartooning for Peace.
