If you want to adopt a child from another country you must apply for a declaration of approval in principle (beginseltoestemming).

You can download the application form for a declaration of approval in principle (in Dutch only) from Fiom.nl. You can also contact Fiom to request a form.
Conditions for adopting a child
The SAV decides whether you satisfy the conditions for entering the adoption procedure. All the steps you must go through are set out on the page entitled Procedure stap voor stap (in Dutch only) on Adoptie.nl.
