Bacteria can cause infections that make people sick. Doctors can prescribe antibiotics to cure these infections. But more and more bacteria are becoming resistant to antibiotics. Infections caused by these superbugs are difficult to treat and can be life-threatening. This is a growing problem around the world. The Dutch government is working at home and abroad to fight antibiotic resistance.
