The EU Services Directive makes it easier for businesses such as window cleaners, plumbers and caterers to offer their services on the EU market. Under the Directive, each member state must have a Point of Single Contact (PSC) to assist businesses and answer their questions. Businesses can also use the PSC to exchange information with public authorities securely, for example when applying for licences. The EU Services Directive applies to the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
