If you have suffered damage caused by a motor vehicle and the culprit is unknown or uninsured, you may be eligible for compensation from the Dutch Motor Traffic Guarantee Fund (Waarborgfonds Motorverkeer).

Eligibility for compensation
To be eligible for compensation from the Dutch Motor Traffic Guarantee Fund (Waarborgfonds Motorverkeer), you must meet certain conditions. For example, you must have tried to find out who caused the damage. All the conditions are set out in the brochure Compensation from the Waarborgfonds Motorverkeer (PDF, 5.6 MB) (in Dutch).
