Are you entering or leaving the EU with more than €10,000 in cash or gold? You must declare these items to customs in the country where you enter or leave the EU. Are you entering or leaving the EU by plane to or from the Netherlands? You must declare these items to the Douane (Dutch Customs).

When to declare cash and gold

You do not need to declare cash and gold if you are travelling within the EU, like from the Netherlands to France.

You must declare cash and gold to Dutch Customs. Download the cash declaration form in advance and complete it.

You can also complete this form at Dutch Customs when you enter or leave the EU.
