Applying for an adapted state examination Dutch as a second language (NT2)

Are you going to take the state examination Dutch as a second language (NT2)? You can take an adapted examination if you have a disability or if you are dealing with certain personal circumstances. You can then take the examination with certain adaptations.

Example of examination adaptations

You can take an adapted examination if, for example, you have a visual impairment, mental health issues or dyslexia. For example, you will be given more time to take the examination or you will be given an examination with larger print.

Applying for adapted examination

You can register for the state examination NT2 (in Dutch) at DUO (Education Implementation Service). When registering, please indicate that personal circumstances apply to you.

Confirmation from a medical specialist for an adapted state examination NT2

After registering for an adapted examination, you will receive a message from DUO explaining what you need to do. You will need a document to confirm that you do indeed require an adaptation to the examination. This is a confirmation from a medical specialist.
