Filing a complaint with the National Ombudsman

Do you have a complaint about a public authority? For example, has dealing with your letter or request taken a long time? Has that authority failed to deal with your complaint? If so, you can file a complaint with the National Ombudsman. The National Ombudsman is an independent and impartial arbiter who deals with complaints about almost all public authorities, such as ministries, the Belastingdienst (Tax and Customs Administration) and the Uitvoeringsinstituut Werknemersverzekeringen – UWV (Employee Insurance Agency).
