Applying for remigration benefit
If you are living in the Netherlands but want to return to your country of birth, you may be entitled to receive remigratie-uitkering (remigration benefit). This is a monthly benefit payment to help you pay for your living costs.

Eligibility for remigration benefit
To be eligible for remigration benefit, you must meet certain conditions. For example, you must have been living in the Netherlands for eight continuous years and you must be at least 55 years old. The Sociale Verzekeringsbank – SVB (social insurance bank) website sets out all the conditions for applying for remigration benefit.
