Financing for studying outside the Netherlands is subject to the general terms and conditions on student financing for tertiary (higher) education. Whether you qualify for student finance depends on your age, the course you are enroled in, where you hold citizenship and your residency status..
In addition, you must also meet the additional conditions on financing for studying outside the Netherlands (in Dutch). For example, the programme must be of adequate quality.
Request financing for studying outside the Netherlands
You may request student financing online (in Dutch) from the Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs – DUO (education implementation service) . You will need a DigiD for this. You must submit your student financing application at least 3 months before the start of your studies. DUO will examine whether you can receive financing for your studies.
