Applying for a transitional arrangement for modern classic cars
Is your vehicle a youngtimer? A youngtimer is a modern classic vehicle that is less than 40 years old and was built before 1 January 1988. Then you are not eligible for an exemption from motorrijtuigenbelasting – MRB (motor vehicle tax). However, you may be entitled to a transitional arrangement under certain conditions. In that case, you will pay less MRB. You can apply for the transitional arrangement with the Belastingdienst (Tax and Customs Administration).
