Applying for an aptitude test for lateral entrants to the teaching profession
If you are teaching as a lateral entrant to the teaching profession and are following a training programme, you must take an aptitude test within 2 years. If you pass, you will receive a certificate of competence and you will then be a qualified teacher.

Applications to take the aptitude test are made via your teacher training programme.
