Do you teach a subject in voortgezet onderwijs – vo (secondary education) for which you do not have the correct qualifications? Then you must obtain the required qualifications as soon as possible. In certain special situations you do not have to do this. For example if you are about to retire. In those situations, you can apply for an exemption from the eligibility conditions.

To be granted an exemption, you must meet certain conditions, for example if you are exceptionally competent in your field.
